This album features me on piano, Pete Cotterill on drums, and Dave Richmond on bass. Dave is probably best known at the moment for his work with Ronnie Hazelhurst, playing bass on ‘Last of the Summer Wine’
My old friend Pete was not in good health when we recorded this album, and when I contacted him recently about working on another jazz album, he said he would love to work with me again, but was really very ill. Unfortunately he passed away before I had a chance to see him again. Despite a very hard life, Pete was the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet, and one of the finest musicians I have ever had the privilege to play with.
